For us, the presence of the 2x World Surfing Champion, Jonh John Florence, had a very special affection and represented a source of inspiration and motivation for the School and students. For a week he lived with us very closely.
Remembered by everyone for his resounding natural talent, humble and quiet attitude, it was a privilege to be able to surf at his side, pick him up at home, take him to the beach, have lunch and stroll around the island.
No less important, we are also talking about the familiarity with the famous Jonh Pyzel, responsible for the manufacture of the boards used by John John. The opportunity to discuss the different functionalities of the concept “Surfboard Vs. Surfer”, allowed us to deepen our knowledge. Being our shaper of choice, Azores Surf School maintains contact and use of its surfboards to this day.
